Ormesby Pre-School has been in the village
of Ormesby St Margaret for over 30 years.
It started as a parent run playgroup in the local
village hall, later moving halls within the village to become Ormesby Village
Playgroup.
Operating three mornings a week, the playgroup
continued to grow in numbers.
In 1998 the playgroup registered as a Charity, by now
it was running five mornings each week.
In 2002 the move to a purpose built unit in the
grounds of Ormesby
Infants School
came with a new name ‘Ormesby Pre-School’. The new site enabled the Pre-School
to grow and develop further, now operating all day, five days a week, forty-nine weeks of the year.
In September 2007 we moved from the Mobile into Ormesby Village Infants School using two of their
classrooms..
From 2014 we had a 2/3 year old room in the mobile and
our 3/4 year olds are in the school classrooms.
We are continually developing our Pre-School to meet
the growing needs of our children and their families.
In 2018 we lowered our age range to 12 months.
Re-organising our current rooms and creating the
Rainbow Room (1-2 Year olds)
Sunshine Room (2-4 Year olds)
Moonbeam Room (2-4 year olds)
